+ - What is Aotearoa Made?
When Covid-19 hit the absolute need and love for small New Zealand businesses was astronomical. The comradeship we saw warmed our hearts and we wanted to help these passion projects living in garages, behind sewing machines & in peoples minds, all over NZ.

Thus Aotearoa Made was formed. A marketplace specifically designed for NZ Small Business. It doesn’t matter what or where in New Zealand, we know people want to see it and #supportlocal. Call it the NEW eCommerce site for #NZMADE products & services. Now entrepreneurs have a hub to call their own.

It’s a place sellers can easily upload to their own shop, have analytics & run their own coupons and promotions.  Shoppers can download our app, buy from multiple shops at once and favourite for later, on one simple platform.
+ - How to Purchase on Aotearoa Made
  1. Find the amazing product you want to purchase on Aotearoa Made.
  2. Click Add to Cart.
  3. Click View Cart.
  4. Take any of these optional steps:
  • Add a note to the seller.
  • If the item is a gift, check the box next to This order is a gift.
  • If you have one, apply a coupon code. Coupon codes are unique to specific shops.
  • The seller will have options on how you can receive the product, usually NZ post, courier or pick up.
  • Click Proceed to checkout.
  • Add your delivery address.
  • Click Place Order.
+ - How to Contact us for Support

If you have questions about an item or an order you have purchased, you can contact the seller directly via their shop page. If you have any other issues please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at hello@aotearoamade.co.nz

+ - How does the payment to the seller work?

When an item is sold on Aotearoa Made, the buyer pays via bank deposit or credit card directly to us. The seller puts the order together and ships the item. We then pay the seller once the buyer has received the item.

+ - How to Track Your Order

You can track your order once the seller has input the Shipping provider & Tracking number.  You can find these details in My Account under Orders on the left menu.
Once here, Click your Order and you will find your tracking details under Order Updates at the top. If you cannot find any tracking information please contact the seller directly for more info.

+ - Do you have an app?

Yes, the app is coming very soon and will be available for download on your phone and tablets.

+ - Purchasing Items on Aotearoa Made

When you purchase on Aotearoa Made you are supporting small New Zealand businesses directly. Each ‘shop’ has their own standards, procedures and delivery times. Please make sure you read these on each product before you purchase.

+ - Leaving Reviews.

Please leave reviews on your orders once you have received them. This helps each seller for future orders. You can do this by visiting the Shop you purchased from and clicking Write a Review. You can then give them 1-5 stars and write a paragraph on your order.

+ - Returns

Each seller has their own return policies, which should be outlined in their Shop Policies. Not all sellers accept returns so please read these before purchasing on Aotearoa Made.

+ - A Seller has asked me to pay to their personal bank account??

+ - How does Aotearoa Made work?

It’s easy!
You make your account, list your items and sell via Aotearoa Made.

  • It’s free to sign up & list an item, we just charge a tiny success fee when you do sell an item.  You keep 95% of your sales, we only charge 5% of your listing and thats to keep the site in tip top shape and advertise for you.
  • We arrange the payment from the buyer for you! (Yas!) So it really makes the process simple – we tell you when your customer has paid so you can get it ready and ship.
  • You organise your own shipping or pick up methods.
  • We then pay you!
+ - What can I sell on Aotearoa Made?

Aotearoa Made is a marketplace for New Zealand products & small businesses. Your products must be predominantly be made in New Zealand by you.
Eg. A box imported from China but engraved in New Zealand is not eligible to be sold on Aotearoa Made but a box made in New Zealand with imported materials and then engraved is able to be sold.

+ - What do I need to start a shop on Aotearoa Made?

It’s really simple! All you need is to create an Aotearoa Made account (A sellers tour will pop up to help you through these steps) You need to choose a shop name, create a listing & set a payment method. Easy as!

+ - I need help setting up my sellers page.

We have a full YouTube with heaps of videos to help you make the best of your Aotearoa Shop. We really want to help you succeed so if you have any issues or questions please get in touch. See our help videos by clicking here.

+ - When do I get paid?

You receive the payment directly from Aotearoa Made, not the customer. Check what each payment status means below – these can be found in your orders under Shop Dashboard.

On Hold – We are waiting for the payment, we recommend doing nothing at this stage.
Processing – We have received the payment, please fulfill your order within your processing and delivery times.
Complete – We will pay your account now Yay! All you need to do is go to your dashboard and click Withdraw where you can request a withdraw as long as you have a minimum of $20 to get out.

+ - Do you have an app?

Yes! We have an app which is nearly completed. This means you can manage your listings, chat to buyers on the go!

+ - What tools does the website have to help us sell our products?

We have so many additions to Aotearoa Made that will help you sell your products easily.

  • Multiple ways to pay – Paypal, bank deposit and stripe.
  • Detailed analytics to help you increase sales.
  • Create your own promotions and coupons to attract new customers.
  • Promoted/featured listings and products.
  • Advertising to your target market.
+ - How do I Enter Tracking details?

When you sell an item you can enter tracking details for your customer. You can do this by visiting the Orders tab on the left menu. Click on the order in question and click the Tacking Number button located under the notes section (bottom right).

+ - I sold an item but haven't received any details?

We will process everything as soon as possible for you, you should get an email ASAP. Please check your spam folder just in case! If not, please email us directly at hello@aotearoamade.co.nz
